We work on both an hourly rate and fixed fee basis. If we work on an hourly rate, we will give you an estimate of the likely total cost. However, this may change if your case becomes more complicated or if the other side responds slowly. If we quote a fixed fee, this should be the total you pay for your case. Sometimes, unexpected issues or new information may mean we need to adjust the fee. If this happens, we will always contact you first to discuss any changes and get your approval before continuing. Please note that our fees do not include disbursements. Disbursements are costs paid to third parties on your behalf, e.g. court fees or expert reports. We will make it clear which disbursements may apply to your case when you instruct us, so you know exactly what to expect. If you have any questions about our fees, please ask us.
